Hi,

I need to move my shaver socket in the bathroom about 50cm to the right. I intend to attach some extra cable via an insulating block in the existing shaver socket box and run the cable to the new box. I am a bit confused as to what type of cable that I should use? It look as if Screwfix recommend 1mm but is this enough?

Any help/suggestions would be grately appreciated.

The cable must be re-routed to be in a safe zone. If the original cable comes vertically down, or up the wall then you CANNOT turn it horizontally and then reterminate it, I am assuming that you'll cover over the old shaver point?

The cable must run horizontally or vertically from the accessory, not diagonally, not dog legged. End of story.

PS Dont forget to notify any electrical works in a bathroom!!
