Hi,

I'm building a large pitched-roof shed which will mostly be used for storage but also as a gym to house the wife's treadmill, rowing machine etc. As such I was going to insulate it.

For the walls, I was planning on filling the stud voids with loft insulation in between the breathable membrane and vapour barrier.

For the roof, I'm less sure on what I need to be doing as I'm seeing conflicting advice.
I'm told I don't need a breathable membrane, but I'm not sure if I need a vapour barrier.

I'm also not sure if I need to leave a gap (50mm?) between the insulation and the roof's OSB?
And do I need to add some form of eaves ventilation to get airflow into that gap?

Thanks

Pete
