I have a 5ft shed in the garden that has a roofing felt. The fold along one side has a line going down the fold where the fold is. Water is getting in though this crack line and I was thinking of painting over the crack with bostik roof repair compound, which I already have at home.

Is there any other easy repair method? Thanks

i mean is that a crap way to fix the crack line and won't last very long compared to buying a new piece of felt and put it on top of the crack line for example?

Yes, just buy some felt and recover it. It's only a tiny hut, done in no time at all.

Those products are fine for this purpose, although they're aimed at quick temporary repairs rather than long term repairs. Besides it seems you have nothing to lose.

Get a roll of 50mm butyl tape off amazon. It will work and will last the life of the shed.
thank you. the crack is along the fold along the length of the shed where the bitumen is folded over the edge of the shed roof. so we are only talking about 1.5m lenth of crack and the crack is 1-2mm wide

Well the rest of your roof will likely fail somewhere else before your Bostic. Permanent means forever so it should not really be used in the description of any kind of repair solution.
