Can anyone please tell me the best way to cut sheet insulation to fit between the rafters? the insulation is approx 100mm thick - and a large quantity is to be cut.

I actually use a meat cleaver and run it along an aluminium straight edge. It's got the depth to cut rockwool as well as polystyrene. I cut it before I take it up to the loft as you need to unroll the stuff on the floor first. Least amount of time spent in the loft the better anyway; awful job.

By sheet insulation do you mean a Rigid Urethane Insulation with foil faces like Kingspan TP10 or Celotex?

Fitting and cutting instructions for these here (use a fine toothed saw, knife or a big big knife :D ).

Yep - that's the type of thing. Cheers :) I guess it's going to be a bigger job than I'd bargained for!
