HI all, this will probably sound silly, but how do correctly test a shock/vibration sensor during a walk test:?:, I have a suspicion that hitting the wall as hard you can and perhaps risk breaking your fist afterwards is not the way to go about it:LOL:, or using a hammer for that matter and breaking something. thanks.

is there a correct method on doing this? cheers

Experience, using the butt end of a screwdriver.

A shock/vibration sensor is looking for a high frequency vibration, breaking glass, splintering of wood, hammering a brick wall etc.

If a fist is causing it to activate there are going to be problems, hence the calibration tool, or, as line one.

The Viper calibration tool is an automatic centre punch with a nylon block on the pointy end. The adjuster has been fixed at a particular setting (but I don't know what it is - I use Europlex's Method 1 :-) )
