Shop Front Sign

Hi, im new to this forum so im not sure if this is in the right section (sorry if it isnt).

I want to make a shop front sign to replace the completely disintegrated one already up but im not sure what materials i will need such as; the type of wood and paints etc. if someone could post a tutorial of some sort or give me any advice, it will be much appreciated.

You'd usually use signwriter's enamels eg

but unless you are very skilled it will be quicker, cheaper and better to get a signmaker to make up new boards with cut vinyl lettering.
