hi i went to replace a ceiling rose in my house and one red wire is a touch on the short side and doesn't reach its terminal, how do i tackle this problem

Is there no slack that you can pull on it? You will quite often find that it is clipped to the joist just above the pendant or in the loft. Failing this you may have to thru crimp a little extra wire on to the existing within the ceiling rose.

thanks for swift response, im afraid that i cannot get to joist as laminate floor has just been laid above. can i use a terminal, some lighting wire and some sleeving to extend?
