Hi all

We have built a new bungalow which the outside walls has yet to be painted. The house is totally rendered outside and the painter I was going to get to do the job recommends painting the window sills as they will stand out like a sore thumb when the whole house is painted.

But a few months back I remember someone saying to me that they recommend leaving the concrete sills the way they are (unpainted).

And I have noticed a lot of newly built houses that is painted on the outside have unpainted window sills.

I am totally confused, can anyone help me decide?

If they look nice enough as they are, then leave them unpainted, it will probably look a lot better.

They'll need masking up properly for a nice job.
