Doing a bit of work changing branches on the waste pipe and had the svp temporarily displaced. While genly moving the pipework the joint with the access show below hatch fell apart.

Doesn't look like it was ever solvent welded...just a little bit of dried up sealant.

Should it be solvent welded when I put it back together?

Did it make your job easier having not been?
However, it is called a solvent weld for a reason! If you don't and it leaks, you'll be kicking yourself!

Yes it did work out easier to do what i was working on actually.

In theory it shouldn't leak as that part of the svp is about 5 foot above the first waste entry.

Will glue it up on reassembly as that should keep it air tight.
