We have a decent thermo shower mixer and modern baxi combi in a single storey property. Water pressure is immense, taps are like water cannons on full blast.

The shower is a bit feeble though. The pipework is tee'd off the bath/basin taps which themselves run from the kitchen. Is this a correct set up, would the shower pressure significantly increase if the pipes ran more directly from the boiler and mains?

thanks

If the bath/basin hot and cold taps are fine it might be due to blocked filters or flow limiters fitted to the shower.

What make/model shower is it?

Hi its a Bristan mixer, cost about £200 (blurb said it was suitable for combis). Its all a new install but wondering whether the pipework needs tweaking around a bit. Thanks

The shower is less than 5ft away from the boiler and mains entry so it could be very direct BTW

Which Bristan model? I want to see the parts diagram to find the flow limiters/filters.

Pipework will probably be fine assuming it's not blocked or bodged.

I would guess there are strainers on the washers where it connects onto the wall...perhaps they are partially blocked.

I suggest you time the water flow into a bucket to confirm the low flow first.
