shower door problem

Hello. Hopefully someone can help me.

I have just moved into a property and eventually had my bathroom tiled. This includes a shower alcove which is quite small (around 700mm wide). I bought a shower door

noting that the adjustment was 670mm to 710mm.

However, after the tiling has been done, the gap is 660mm

Looking at the door, a bracket is attached to the wall and the door slots into this. As the door is only mm larger, would it be feasible to cut the required abount form the door and the bracket down one side, thus giving me the space I require? Would this compromise the structure of the dooe and has anyone any experience of this.

I've no experience of solving such a problem, but wouldn't it be easier to remove the tiles from one side of the door, fit it directly to the wall and then tile up to it.

Making adjustments to the door sounds like trouble to me.

Thanks for the reply. Just spoken to the tiler who advised the same thing. He is getting on with this right now so hoppefully that will be it sorted.

do not fit directly to the wall , water will adventualy get into the frame and you will have big problems the shower door should only be sealed on the outside check instalation instructions. i have seen it too many times now looks like a different door is the only proper solution
