I am soon to fit a shower cubicle in new en-suite and need to sort out a drain for it, I can run it straight down into the kitchen, but the pipe will stick out, what I need to know is...

1. can I use 22mm pipe as a drain for just the shower and perhaps basin too (but not toilet!!!!)

2. is it possible to chase a 22mm pipe into wall and then skim over or put plasterboard over??? or is it too deep?

Thanks

Use 40 mm waste and box it in to hide.
You will hear the water trickling down when the shower is used and probably will annoy the missus.
