We are looking to install a shower from a hot water system to replace our old electric shower. As we have an old house we want a traditional style one. I have seen the Grohe Avensys single control and I have also seen some on ebay that are apparently unbranded ex MFI stock but with dual control. I know that single control means the water and the temperature are controlled with one lever. Does it make any different and would I be better to go for the Grohe because getting parts will be more straightforward as we know the manufacturer?

thanks for any advice
