Hi - have a Mira shower. Mrs wants a new shower head. Took off the original one and there’s a plastic tube coming out which can’t fit into the new head (see pictures)

Any idea or do I need a new hose or Mira brand shower head?

Thanks!

D

That's not a mira head? That's got water softener built in.
Consider some shower mould kill from supermarket. Really unhealthy yet easily delt with.
Get original Mira head from

The head is new. But how can I fit it when there’s that tube sticking out the hose?

The Mira head had the space for it. I can’t put that tube in the new head

PS I’ve found every single mould killed to do absolutely nothing

Try again following instructions. Definitely works as I've used loads of times. Mould won't survive bleach mould cleaner...

I'm not convinced that's a Mira head.

Just buy a new hose then from Mira. I've fitted loads and never seen one like that

It looks like your shower has Mira Airboost. It is supposed to mix air with the water to give the effect of a more substantial shower flow. Not really convinced it works that well but it does mean that you need the correct Mira shower head. You may be able to remove the airboost tube from the hose and then use a normal head. But, I would be wary of adding one of those 'magic bead' shower heads to an electric shower. They can be quite restrictive and the excess pressure can blow the shower's pressure relief device. Check the shower head instructions carefully for suitability for your type of shower.
