shower isolating switch

I have a gainsborough 950 gsi instant shower which has worked fine for about 5 years.
Normally the 40amp pull swith is left on but recently a visitor pulled the switch to the off position.
When I switch it on again the neon illuminates but the shower fails to operate. When the shower switch is turned to 'on' the neon on the isolating switch goes out but returns when the shower switch is turned 'off'.

Any ideas please?

Broken isolator / loose wire in isolator gets my vote.

open up the isolator - i bet there is at least one melted / rotten core in there.

I have opened up isolator and connections look ok.

Guess i'll just have to install new isolator.

Just to resolve this query. I have replaced isolator and sorted problem.
