My shower is on the same 32A MCB as the cooker circuit (it was like that when I got here). While this isn't normal is it a problem regulations wise?

Yes, every final circuit requires its own method of isolation.

As per the regs:

BS7671:2008 - 314.4 said:
Where an installation comprises of more than one final circuit, each circuit shall be connected to a separate way in a distribution board. The wiring of each final circuit shall be electrically separate from that of every other final circuit, so as to prevent the indirect energizing of a final circuit intended to be isolated

On the other hand a circuit is pretty much defined as everything on one protective device.........................

Regardless of that though a circuit with both a shower and a cooker is likely to be overloading the breaker and needs to be sorted out.
