I have just moved into new house with old(ish) model MIRA ADVANCE electric shower -1995-2003 model. Anyway i have tried to find out why the low pressure light comes on then unit switches off. Have replaced WIRE 78, cleaned filters and other stuff as stated on MIRA website. The shower runs off (or should do) a 3-5 year old condensing combi boiler in the next room. Do i need some kind of pump, a sparky says yes but a plumber says no. I dont want to buy a new shower if that wont work. WATER PRESSURE TEST FROM MAIN SUPPLY OK.

please advise because I am starting to smell a tad.

If its an electric shower (i did do a quick search and it is!) then it has to be connected to the cold main, when you say that it is run off the combi what exactly do you mean? It should just be te'd into the cold pipe :?

I had a similar fault with a mira sport shower. Low pressure then the overheat light came on.No matter how much i cleaned it the only solution was a new water flow valve(pilot valve). I am no expert here mate, just sharing my experience.Hope this helps.
