Shower mounting issue - will this be fixable without having to replace the whole tile?

The lower mounting post for the shower head rail has corroded away to a nub and the rail has obviously fallen off the wall. Is this likely to be fixable without needing to replace the whole tile or am I being over-optimistic there?

The whole shower was clearly installed on the cheap God knows how long ago by someone with more enthusiasm than experience and needs entirely ripping out and replacing, but that's not on the cards for the foreseeable.

Should be easy fix , carefully cut off rusted screw and remove upper mount , if you can get same rail for replacement mount 10mm lower so you get new screw position and old screw position is hidden by the post base .
If needed you can increase post bases dimensions with a large chrome washer .(assuming you are staying with chrome finish).

So you wouldn't recommend trying to remove the existing screw, just get it flush and put a new hole for the new rail?

EDIT - I've never drilled tile before - I'm unsure whether these will be porcelain or ceramic. I understand that porcelain tends to be used for wet areas, but who knows what the previous owner did (the house spent a while split into flats and I think money was saved wherever possible). Should I just use a porcelain bit, or would that be wrong if it turns out they're ceramic?

If it’s easy then remove it but may disintegrate if too rusty.A good masonry bit will drill ( hammer off).

If it lends itself to it, you might be able to trim down the length of your existing bar, to move the fixing point, but whatever - either use stainless steel, or solid brass screws to avoid having a similar problem, further down the line.
