I'm fitting shower panels round the bath, can a shower head rail (not shower unit) be fitted directly on to these, are they sturdy enough?

What do you mean fitted directly?

If I'm assuming the panels are around 10mm thick then you will need to fix through the panel into the wall

Yes I'm fitting the rail straight through the panel into the wall, wasn't too sure if the panels are strong enough.

Yes you will be fine , shower rails are lightweight items and the wall will take the weight anyway

If you are worried push the Rawl plug in far enough that it expands in the wall only
