Shower Plinth Dilemma

We have a gap under shower. The previous owners slotted a piece of wood under but it just falls out as there is nothing to attach it too. There are no legs or space to put them just a wooden block which shower seems to sit on (pic 2)which runs out massively so can’t attach it to that either. Help please View attachment 166359

Fix a 1” batten to the floor in the right position and then fit a length of skirting using adhesive/silicon at the top and bottom?

there is nothing to attach it too.

Glue it to the floor / tray with some silicone?

A wooden skirting will get wet and rot over time. PVC plastic with screw caps, so you can remove and check for water leaks underneath.

Have they supported the shower tray adequately?
