Hi everyone :) I hope you can be of help.

I moved in to my flat about 4 years ago and the first winter the shower stopped giving out hot water. It got better once the cold weather had gone. I checked online and read that it could have been because the water was too cold to heat up in time between the tank and the shower. I installed a new shower and went with a 10.5kw one in the hope that this would make a difference. And it did for the first winter. However, it stopped in winter 08 and hasn't been hot since.

Is there anything I can check before I call someone in to look at it? I'm completely clueless about these kinds of things.

whats the display coming up with ?
also check the tco on top of the heat can for continuity with a
multi meter.

The display is fine - it shows the temperature. In the winter it was 10C then dropped to about 7C. Now it's at 18C and dropping. It has got to 43C in the past.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what the second part of your post means
