We have a Aqualux steam cabin which was working fine but had a leaking thermostatic valve/ diverter valve which was leaking via the centre spindle. Changed the valve assembly last week for new Aqualux part but now have a new problem. When selecting the shower to operate by rotating the valve, the shower pump more often that not fails to start for anything from 10 secs to 30 secs. Any thoughts?

I am not familiar with that particular model but most shower pumps have a moving magnetic shuttle which operates a reed switch.

Sometimes dirt makes the movement sluggish and sometimes the reed switches seem to lose their response to the magnetic field.
