Hi

I've recently had a plumber in to fit a new power shower for me. The pump has now started going on and off at about 1 second intervals after we run a hot water tap. Anyone got any suggestions before I call the plumber up about it?

Thanks

Phil

I think it is connected into the side of the cylinder, but I don't know how exactly it's connected. I've read about essex flanges, but wouldn't have a clue what one looked like, and if one had been used (if I have understood correctly and that is what it is for). Would a faulty/missing essex flange cause symptoms like this?

Thanks

Phil

if its connected into the side not a problem. long as it is the only pipe from the side going to the pump.
so the pump has its own dedicated feed.

Yes, It has its own dedicated feed. Off the top of my head, it comes off the cylinder about half way down. I can check when I get home tonight if needs be.
