shower pump

I have a problem with a pump that is now making a high pitched noise and is not working with the shower. The boiler has just had some work done on it by british gas and was wondering if it could be linked as they said i needed the raidiators flushed etc.

Have you any help or advice for me

sounds like the pumps starved of water or airlocked etc.

was any work done in the airingcupboard where the pump/cylinder is.

Is it a job I can do to relieve the air lock in the pump or better to get someone around who knows what they are doing.
