Pump on floor in airing cupboard; dedicated 22mm pump feeds from the CWS tank (opposite end to the incoming feed) & HW cylinder; an Essex flange fitted into the side of the tank at the top is best but, alternatively, a York, Surrey or Warix flange in the top/vent outlet. Pumped supply to shower can be 15mm but 22mm is best where high volume shower heads; use only full bore isolator valves to avoid restrictions.

For your shower to work properly, it’s very important that the design & layout of the H/C pipe work is correctly done, you buy the correct positive or negative head pump to suit the installation & you have adequate HW/CW storage – 250 litres cold, 150 litres hot but larger in a busy household or multiple shower installations.

This usefull guide will give you an idea of the do’s & don’ts; http://www.salamanderpumps.co.uk/Download/instructions.pdf
but all pumps follow similar guidelines.
