Hi Guys,

I want to install a shower into my bathroom. The bathroom is on the first floor, as is the hot water tank (I have a Conventional Boiler).

Is it really necessary installing a pump, or can I get alone with no pump? I do not need a high pressure in the shower, just a decent amount of water to wash.

Thanks,

The pressure at the shower will be determined by the difference in height between the cold water storage cistern (tank) which pressurises the hot water cylinder, and the shower head.

I have a bathroom on the first floor, and the cold water storage cistern is up on a platform in the peak of the roof, and get adequate flow.

You might try it, then fit a pump if the flow is inadequate. Properly sized pipework will help too.

You'll also need to specifically choose low pressure shower equipment. A lot have small bore valves/hoses and don't work on low pressure. But there are showers that are designed for low head (large bore valves, large bore hose, free flowing head).
We also have a shower (Myra) with about (i'd say) 6 to 8 foot head. It's a "gentle shower" so wouldn't suit a lot of people - but perfectly adequate for it's intended purpose.
