Hi I'm having issues with my shower, when you turn on the shower nothing happens you have to mess about with the controls for 10/15 minutes to get it working, it will then work fine for the rest of the day then in the morning you have to go throught the same palaver.

Any idea if this a water pressue issue or maybe air in the pipes, the pump is a Salamander CT50+XTRA located next to the hot water tank and cold feed from tank in the loft.

Thanks.

Sounds like the pump is seizing up. Is this a new problem or has it always happened? Do you feel it's getting worse?

just moved so no idea of the history for the system, The pump is piped off the hot and cold feeds in the airing cupboard and no flange has been used from the hot water cylinder, not sure if that makes any difference.

IF the pump was seizing why is it ok for the rest of the day?

On first shower of the day set control to only cold and see what happens OR if shower head is on a hose then set control to cold only and hold tthe shower head as low as possible.
