Shower Switch

If it doesn't reach, and you really want to move the switch, and not just extend the string, (which is cheaper of course) and lifting the floor is a real utter no-no, then a box and blanking plate at the old switch position with a choc-bloc in it, and a length of mini-trunking taking an extension to the cable to its new position, may suffice.
It will look a bit rough, but does avoid the carpet question.
you will probably need to either poke a hole in the plasterboard and feed a block of wood in, or use some of those giant screw type plasterbord fixings, as it will almost certainly not be on a joist where you want to mount it, and modern ceilings are not famous for their mechanical integrity.
