shower switch

I have a Mira Vie electric shower in my bathroom. As we use it everyday, I have left the pull cord switch always on. I have found that the red indicator light of the switch is flickering. When I pull the switch off it goes off. But when I turn it on, it flickers, i.e. not steady red. What could be the problem, and shall I ignore it or do I need to call a electrician?

The shower works fine.

Neons often start to flicker with age, not worth renewing the neon it is still showing when on, nothing really to worry about.
