I am fitting a quadrant shower at home in an ensuite. the shower tray is a stone resin 900x900. the instructions say to bed the tray on a mix of fine sand and cement....is this supposed to be sharp sand, like floor screed. Or building sand? does the mix need to be wet or dry? As there are no obvious fixing points for the shower tray am I to assume that the bed of mortar will be sufficient to hold the tray in place?
Sorry for all the questions but the Manufacture's Instructions are pretty naff

Building sand with cement and the mix is to be nice and firm but making sure the tray can bed into it

check the levels and allow to dry properly

Imperative you do this properly nothing worse then leaky shower installed by DIYER ,dont want it all to end in tears
