Shower Tray repair

Hi
I have a crack (no leaks as yet) in my shower tray and am thinking of repair service but am a bit concern taht it will make it worse
Any one has had this done, any comments or advise please

The only way a stone resin shower could be repaired, if it is starting to crack, is for the crack to be ground out till it disappears, resin filled, flattened and then recoated. It's not a procedure that is commonly undertaken.

If it's cracking that bad though, chances are it would just return. The key here would be to understand why it's cracking, invariably it's because it isn't properly supported underneath. Only way to understand that properly would be to lift the tray.

It's a fine hairline crack, the tray is very stable, I think it's because we had a heavy Shower Squeegee which had dropped a few times (changed to much lighter now)

Wanted to see what people's experience has been if they had this kind of work carried out

Unfortunately, something dropped onto a stone resin tray wouldn't create a crack like that, it would create impact damage and then maybe a crack emanating from that but not a hairline crack. Hairline cracks, IME, is when it doesn't have the support it needs and there is flexing, especially at the centre point where the tray may not have enough support underneath due to the way it's designed and then set down.
