Yes, always try to span the main weight across the joists with the main bearers, if possible.
Yes, main outside edge bearers span across the joists, not with. That way the joists take the weight and not the floor.
Yup and look at the size of the feet, very little spread of the weight of the tray and person in it, so it will be inherently unstable. I have found that any movement in a tray is a leak waiting to happen.

Ok if I bed in on sand and cement I wouldn't be able to panel till the day after. Even if I didn't stand on the tray.
