We have a never ending saga with a Traymate linear shower tray and the supplied Wirquin Twisto 90mm shower waste trap that has been leaking.
It has already destroyed the ceiling downstairs and in a desperate attempt at fixing this, over tightened and cracked the shower tray! A new shower tray has been fitted but the leaking doesn't stop.
The Wirquin Twisto seems to have a very bad design with just 2 screws on opposite ends. And a flat plastic waste lip that the rubber gasket is meant to compress against.
The leak seems to be between the rubber gasket and the plastic waste trap and not from the rubber gasket and the shower tray itself.

Can anyone identify the shower trap in the picture below. This appears to have a better design as there is a ridge in the plastic top, which I suspect is where the rubber gasket slots into, a much better design than the Wirquin Twisto.
This image is floating around as the Crosswater vito shower tray waste, but it's not! Infact Crosswater themselves use the Wirquin Twisto and not this one.

Don't bother with the rubber seal and use CT1.
Shower wastes can be bespoke so you have to use the one that matches tray sometimes

The Wirquin Twisto 90 came bundled with the shower tray and is infact the only waste the tray manufacturer recommends using. But we cannot get it to stop leaking without the use of any CT1. The tray and waste manufacturer both were telling us that no silicone is required or to be used.
Today finally the tray manufacturer has told us to use a bead of silicone between the rubber seal and the waste.

But I would still like to identify that waste in the image I attached in my first post. Like I said, if you search for the Crosswater vito waste, you see that shown. However that waste not supplied with the Crosswater vito.
