Anyone have any idea how I might extract these NRVs from their elbows. Cannot seem to achieve this with a whole kit of mini-pliers, screwdriver etc. Would it be worth trying boiling water or WD40? Suggestions very welcome.

Because there is minimal flow of hot water and the NRV is (conclusively) not working - not springing at all. There does not appear to be any grit present to have 'jammed' the valve hence the replacement.

Soak them in limescale remover (Killrock or Ataka 50:50 with very hot water) for half an hour then try again - or indeed they may be working again without removal.

They're out now and the new ones are in - what a bυgger, though. I ended up using a tiny drill bit to make some holes in the remaining base section of the valves and then 'twisted' the remnants out with a slim chisel.

Thanks for all the advice.
