shower water blowing hot then cold then hot

hello , i've had a new shower fitted into my flat and it's around 1.5yrs old
all of a sudden it will blow hot water for 1 min then cold then hot again ...does not seem to be constant temperature anymore ....could this be a thermostat prob or limescale build up ( i;ve cleaned shower head ) makes no diff ....could it be limescale in the unit ? any thoughs would be welcome ...dont wanna buy a new shower unit , thank you ...ks

Give us a few more clues - what sort of shower - power shower or just mixer. What sort of water system - combi boiler or conventional system with hot and cold tanks ?
