I’ve been asked to install an electric shower for a customer 9.5kw. I no the cable size and everything it ok, but I need to put it on a separate board as there’s no room left in the current one. The current one is a split board with 2 rcds on it. Is it acceptable to add another rcd into my new board coming off one of the old ones and have the shower supplied into that? And is a 80a 30ma rcd fine for this?

Your question does not make sense, you have no spare ways, so how would you intend to come of the existing board. Are you capable of complying to the regulations regarding this work? What size cable do you have for the 9.5kw and are any derating factors to be applied?

Looking to come off the incoming tails which has been done to provide power to the other rcd in the board. The cables fine it’s 10mm clipped direct

In the board atm it’s the mains coming in and being looped to the other rcd

Maybe ask this in the Electrical forum , but , you may struggle to pick out the answer among all the bickering .
