Hi all ,

I am redoing my shower cubicle/unit after no end of problems with my current wetroom style shower ( Big mistake!!)

The builder I am using has quoted me for some fittings but I am bit unsure as I really want to make sure they are good quality and reliable

- a Cubico Shower door/frame

- a London Showers slime tray

Are these good make. Would you fit them? Or what other makes should I look at?

Also , for the shower he has quoted for a Just Taps florence Bar valve

I'd be much more reassured with a Grohe/Hansgrohe unit. The most important factor for me in a shower is strong water pressure/reliability and longevity, rather than price

Can I ask whether you would advise to get what he has suggested or should I source other items

Thanks
Michael

£225 for a bar shower, it better be good. I'd also be looking for a longer warranty than the standard 2 years for that price.

I presume that's a slim tray and not a slime tray - ;) Don't know the London brand but it is stone resin @ a reasonable price. Same of Cubico -reviews don't seem to be the best though.

Thank you Madrab - yes the Cubico shoreviews aren't great. Which trays do you favour? (slim, not slime!)

In terms of the shower unit, I am prepared to pay for a good quality, high pressure thermostatic shower bar with a fixed waterfall head and a hand shower. I can see the hasngrohe and grohe units are upwards of 500 -800 pounds. Would you recommend them?
