shuttering question

Hi
i'm making concrete pillars by shuttering, read that you can get either get plywood which is coated one side with a plastic type coating so they peel off the concrete easy when set, or you can make your own equivalent by 'oiling' one side of board. If you have made such a board what have you used for this waterproofing one side please.

A good substitute: old engine oil and diesel mixed 50/50 if you don't live near a builders-merchants.
