Just bought this dryer as new but not packaged. It's obviously been stored in a dusty environment and when trying to use machine for the 1st time the programme started but the drum wouldn't rotate and after approx 10 secs the "Clean Filter' message was displayed. I cleaned the air cooler /protective filter as described in the operating instructions but still got same result. As the dust is quite fine I then soaked the filter and ran clean water through it but I'm still getting same message on the display. Is there a sensor in the machine which may also be covered in dust which may need to be cleaned? - or any other suggestions would be welcomed.
The machine is covered by the Siemens guarantee but not sure if they may argue that the machine hasn't been correctly stored? Any thoughts on that one please.
