Siemens Hipath Manager

Hi, a while back I asked a question about a hipath 540 PBX system, I finally got round to looking at it and it's working and all set up, I got the IP address sorted but for some reason I cant connect to the manager software, I have found a copy of hipath manager C, when I try to connect through my XP machine it freezes and when I connect through my 7 machine nothing happens. Has anyone ever had any experience with using the manager software and could offer any advice?
