Hi everyone,

I've set the on/off cycles for both HW and CH differently. Irrespective of the whats shown on the display (Auto, On, Off etc), both CH & HW seem to be always on ie if I open the tap, the water is hot and if I open the TRV, it turns on the radiator.

I'm renting an apartment. I don't know if the previous tenants experienced the same problem. One more thing there are 2 switches on the wall above the RWB9 - one is for immersion; the other turns on the backlight of the RWB9 and switches on CH and HW from what I've observed. If I turn that switch off then their is no water pressure and no CH. I presume there would be no HW as well but haven't confirmed this. Its as if the RWB9 serves no function!

Also, the TRV in the bedroom radiator seems to be faulty. Sometimes it turns on at no 3 while switching off if I rotate to 4, 5, 6. Other days it works on 3 - 6.

Any assistance please.

TL:DR
RWB9 controller not working so I cannot time HW and CH. Also TRV in bedroom seems to be broken.

Can we have pics and description of your set up please

From your description it sounds like your boiler is permanently on , is this the case?

if you have it set to off and its staying on and heating up then its a good chance its the motorised valve thats faulty sticking on and activating micro switch inside it which gives power to pump and boiler

Thanks for the replies. I have attached pictures of the setup. The boiler is always On but I'm certain it can be switched off. The switches above the RWB9 is for immersion and Boiler. However when the boiler switch is ON the RWB9 controller does not switch off CH or HW. When the switch is off there is no water pressure.
