Hey, do people tend to put a small smear of silicone around bath taps ( just around the rubber) When putting them on a bath. As a belt and braces approach to make sure water doesn't leak between the bath an the taps, especially if there is a shower above the bath.

I bin the rubber washer and replace it with a polythene one......at least it doesn't squeeze out!
