Hi,

Might be a silly question.

Is it OK to use a compost that has peat in it for growing tomatoes etc in a green house?

I know there are peat free composts. Is it OK to eat fruit/veg grown in compost that has peat in it?

Thanks

Dan

yes

but growbags are designed for tomatoes so look at them.

Remember that peat has very little nutritional value, its mainly used for moisture retention and improving soil texture.

As JohnD said , use growbags designed for tomatoes.

And yes, its fine to eat fruit/veg grown in peat composts.
