Hi all
I have some pear and apple trees arriving tomorrow, along with a variety of different fruit berries (some coming tomorrow, some next week). I might have the chance to source some local alpaca manure, which - from what I've read - has the added bonus of not needing to be rotted down prior to use. The stuff we get will be fresh.
I wondered how good alpaca manure if for fruit trees and berry bushes, and how it compares to the alternatives?
I've got a little bit of homemade compost (veg scraps etc). But not much. So, if the alpaca manure is good to go, I may also buy a few bags of compost to mix with it for the planting. Any recommendations on which type of compost I should use for fruit trees/berries? Any particular brands?
I've also got a bag of root grow and plan to use that....
Exciting times! But all new to me so any advice would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks
Max
