silver honeywell box

hi
there is a silver honeywell box in my airing cupboard attached to the hot water heating pipe,it has manual and auto on it,not sure what it is as not great with plumbing issues. it is making a screeching sound when the heating is switched off via a wireless thermostat. as the airing cupboard is in our bedroom it is going on and off all night,we need to have the heating on as we have a baby. any ideas would be much appreciated.

The box is a zone valve, it sounds like it needs replacing.
