SIME 100E Most times Fails to fire up

If the control knob is turned to the 1 o'clock position it will fire up and keep cycling. But not always. Sometimes the knob has to be turned to the 11 o'clock pos' first. Getting worse.
Can'nt find my circuit diagram. Hints about the likely fault, and or where I could get a diagram from much appreciated. Rather urgent.
