Hi all,

I need to join two worktops with a simple straight joint using bolts routed into slots underneath. My question - is it usual practice to mate the two 'prefinished' ends or the two sawn ends? I'm guessing the prefinished ends would be a better fit but not sure if you end up with a small gap on the top due the thickness of the laminate on the ends.

Many thanks.

Strange question, anyway I'd use the finished ends, after carefully removing the laminate with a sharp blade 'sawing' through the glue.
Unless you have a circ saw with a laminate blade.
