Single flow shower problem.

I recently changed a rubber flange (washer) inside the shower tap (Bristan) and since I put it back together it wont work properly, ie the water is the same temperature (coldish) whether I want it hot or cold. The hot water pipe feeding the tap is hot though. Can anyone help?

For example, pumped, tank fed, mains fed, one of each..... ?

Mains cold and combi boiler hot - was ok before though.

....I meant it was ok temperature wise...I took it apart because it was dripping, and we all know how annoying dripping taps are!

Could you possibly risk prosecution under the wearily Draconian provisions of the Data Protection Act, and disclose the model details of this shower valve?
