First time poster here :)

I have a single light switch to the downstairs toilet, when i have removed the front cover, inside it has 2 Red Wires and then a Yellow/Green earth wire, i was exspecting it to be red or brown and blue or black, can either red go into live and switch live? or should i look at what each red wire comes from and then put them into the same hole with then new light switch?

The new switch is a metal switch replacing and old plastic one, do i leave the earth fastened inside the back box as it is now or do i connect the earth to the back of the new metal switch?

TIA :)

One red at one end of the switch (Com?), the other red at the other end (L1?). Doesn't matter which.

Connect the earth wire to the switch earth terminal.
