... but that's just a statement of the obvious. There's no problem in my plugging 10 fan heaters into a ring final, provided I don't switch many of them on at the same time!
Thanks everyone for your replies - As you can imagine, I don't really want to have to put in a new feed put in if I can avoid it. In general we wouldn't be using both appliances together and even if we were, the microwave would only be on for about 10 mins max. I am quite happy to fit a high quality socket (i.e. MK - which some say is OK to 26A for short periods of time).
Is another alternative to feed the oven from the 40A dedicated feed that is going to feed the induction hob ? (combined max 4600W/31A) via a pair of separate switches mounted on the double back box?
